Everyone needs to do themselves a favor and listen to this album. A lot of Lucero fans have been torn about the addition of horns (and backup singers!), but I personally love it. Rock on.

Saffron Shrimp Soup
Made this recipe last night and it was delicious. Replaced the tubettini with white rice and the chives with scallions. Also flipped the ratio of chicken broth to fish stock and added a healthy amount of white pepper. Delicious! Highly recommended if you like paella but don’t want to go through all the work. Served with a french baguette.

Well, Christmas is over. I got a pretty cool vintage style camera shown above, the Lomography Diana F+. It uses medium-format 120mm film. It didn’t come with a flash, but I’m not sure if I even want one. Could be a possible future upgrade. I got some black and white film with it and took a few pics outside yesterday. A White, Arctic Christmas
It’s currently 25 degrees and snowing outside. This is warm. Sunday it was a low of -3 degrees with around -30 degree windchills. I had the bright idea to go skiing that day. Add in the fact that you’re flying down a hill and it feels like it’s -50 degrees out. Frost formed on my mask because of the steam from my breath.
